Vibration Analysis Category II is an intermediate-level course that builds upon Category I fundamentals, focusing on advanced techniques for diagnosing and preventing machinery faults. Participants will learn to set up and operate data collectors, perform detailed analysis of vibration signals and develop corrective actions.
Course Content
Aligned with ISO 18436‑2 Category II standards, the curriculum includes:
Review of vibration theory and sensor technology
Signal processing methods, including time waveform, spectra and orbit analysis
Fault diagnosis for complex issues such as resonance, gear faults and electrical problems
Severity assessment and trending of vibration data
Corrective actions and balancing techniques
Reporting and communication of findings
Who Should Attend
The Category II course is intended for technicians, engineers and analysts with basic vibration knowledge who are responsible for collecting and analysing data and making maintenance recommendations. Participants should have completed Category I or have equivalent experience.
Certification
A certificate of Category II vibration analysis training attendance is awarded upon passing the assessment. Practical exercises and case studies are included to enhance understanding.
